So it is now officially crunch time at LMS. Third nine weeks is already behind us. The 8th grade Outer Banks trip has come and gone. We are cramming in the final chapter of our math book this week. Report cards go home tomorrow. Review cramming starts in about ten days. I have a plan for my review but after seeing the most recent test scores I might have to revise those plans. Why a principal would decide to implement some new program NOW is way beyond me but some visitor is coming in to evaluate all of us core teachers tomorrow. I plan on changing nothing really. I've got my lessons to teach and my kids to get ready for their EOG. It's sad to think that my kids will be high schoolers in a little more than six weeks - well most of them should be at least! I am going to be hired back here next year and am TOTALLY excited about this! Coach Richardson and I are getting our heads together about volleyball stuff for the summer sometime this week too. No job hunting this summer!
I hope to post some pictures from spring break and the outer banks this week. We'll hope the computer cooperates for me (the one at school is still DEAD!). To all you other teachers out there, I'm with you in the countdown to summer. Hang tough and work hard so we can enjoy our freedom come June!
On a final note, Majesty Motors is set to open in about 60 days. Mom and Dad will be moving back to Hickory in about 3 weeks. I may become a car salesman for the summer or at least a runner/driver for the business, but if it means the parents being back in Hickory then I'll be happy to serve! Let me know if you're going to be looking for a used car any time soon. I know a good place that's just opening that could use some business!
